The Old First Preservation and Community Foundation (OFPCF) is seeking qualified masonry restoration contractors to perform stone cleaning, repointing, patching, and related restoration work at the historic rose window (Window no. 11) on the north wall of the Old First Reformed Church in Brooklyn. The work includes cleaning and repair of the stone window surround, mortar repointing, stone patching, and interior stone cleaning, to be coordinated with the stained-glass restoration project.

Pre-Qualification Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in historic building restoration, specifically window frame surrounds, stone masonry restoration, cleaning, repointing, and repair.

• Experience working on landmarked or historically significant masonry structures.

• Ability to provide credentials, references, and examples of similar completed projects.

• Proof of insurance and other relevant certifications/licenses required to perform the work.

Interested contractors should submit a Letter of Interest outlining qualifications, relevant project experience, and credentials.

Submission Deadline:September 4, 2026

Contractors selected from the pre-qualification process will be invited to receive additional project information and submit a proposal.
